TORTELLINI SOUP
(Great recipe for a chilly day!)

1 pkg. turkey sausage links (5 in a pkg, hot or mild, I use hot)
1 cup chopped onions
2 garlic cloves
5 cups beef broth
1 cup water
4 tomatoes, chopped
1 cup thinly sliced carrots
1 tsp. basil
1 tsp. oregano
8 oz. tomato sauce
2 zucchini, thinly sliced
8 oz. tortellini pasta (I use cheese filled, fresh pkg. from deli section, you can also use dried pasta from
the pasta aisle)
1 green pepper, diced
Remove sausage casing, crumble and brown sausage in skillet. Drain and reserve 1 tbsp. oil. Cook onion
and garlic in the oil, until onion is transparent. In large pot, add sausage, onion, garlic, broth, water,
tomatoes, carrots, basil, oregano, and tomato sauce. Bring to a boil on medium heat. Simmer on low 30
mins. Add zucchini, tortellini, and green pepper. Simmer 30-40 minutes longer.
MOM’S CHILI
1 lb. ground beef, brown the beef before putting into the slow cooker
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 large can diced tomatoes
1 onion, cut up
1 bell pepper, cut up
1 can kidney beans
1 tbsp. flour
Brown sugar to taste
Season to taste
Cook in Slow Cooker – 4 hours, or so

(Here is the “Easy” version of the Prize Winning Cake)

1 Pkg Duncan Hines Devil Food Cake Mix
1 sm Package Chocolate Instant Pudding Mix
1 Cup Sour Cream
½ Cup Water
½ Cup Vegetable Oil
4 Eggs
2 Cups Chocolate Chips
3 Crumbled Skor Bars
Beat first 6 ingredients at medium speed for 2 minutes. Fold in chocolate chips and Skor bars.
Pour into greased angel food pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 ¼ Hours. Cool in pan for 25 minutes. Turn out onto rack. Frost with frosting below!
FROSTING
2 Jumbo Milk Chocolate Hershey bars
2 Jumbo Special Dark Chocolate Hershey Bars
2 Cubes Unsalted Butter
2 crumbled Skor Bars
Melt Butter and while hot put in broken up candy bars. Stir till smooth. Put in refrigerator and stir every 5-10 minutes until spreading consistency. Frost cake and put broken up skor bars on top to decorate.
